University of Donja Gorica is a research-entrepreneurial university, and developing research and entrepreneurship competencies among students is one of the priorities of this University. UDG was founded in 2007 with two faculties. Today, UDG includes twelve faculties and more than 50 programs. It offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level of education, including Bachelor, Master’s and PhD level of studies. Currently, it has around 3500 students and around 300 professors from the whole world. The UDG is an active international university engaged in worldwide collaboration projects and partnerships, having participated in over 50 different international projects including Horizon2020, IPA, COST, EFSA, Erasmus+, Tempus, Eureka, World Bank grants and many others. University of Donja Gorica (UDG) joined Global Alliance and Partners with one of USA most innovative universities, University of Arizona, to become a centre for innovation, transformation, and internationalization in the Balkans Region. University of Donja Gorica and its team with long and proven experience in designing and accrediting study programs that are competitive in the European Higher Education Program are capable of dealing with the processes of design and accrediting study programs in English. The University of Donja Gorica strives to be regionally and internationally recognized for its quality of education, values, and student experience. As a small private university, it aims to achieve better international visibility and competitiveness by making internationalisation a priority in the coming period. It has been engaging in internationalisation for a number of years but so far it has been evolving spontaneously in response to the needs and opportunities as they arise. Now, it has reached a point where it should engage in a strategic reflection on the future development of internationalisation. UDG participated in over 60 projects and has experience in the following exchange programmes: Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus + ICM, Erasmus + KA2 Student Mobility Strand, CEEPUS, Tempus. UDG has experience through approved ICM with over 30 universities from different Programme countries (United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Estonia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Austria, Italy any others).

The UDG team is in charge of WP2 (Evidence base and monitoring), as a coordinator of a set of research and analytical activities that are carried out jointly by the partners. Its key task is the market research study on the attractiveness of Business and Economics studies in Montenegro for foreign students and preparation of the monitoring framework for the project. UDG will also work on other WP-s, have its own capacity building activities for students, teachers and staff, its policy development, but will also participate in all other WP-s as an interested party for the national level legislation, promotion of internationalisation etc.
