Students and professors from HSBA in Hamburg visited the Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro hosted students and professors from the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA) as part of their study trip. After an introduction to the rich history of the faculty and its future development directions, the guests were welcomed by the Vice Dean for International Cooperation and coordinator of the Erasmus+ project "ME Study in English," Dr. Tamara Backović, who expressed her pleasure regarding the visit.

"This visit represents a significant step in strengthening our international relations and cooperation in the field of education. Collaboration with HSBA, an institution known for its innovative approach to teaching and dual study programs, opens new opportunities for our students. The discussions and exchange of experiences during this event contributed to understanding current economic challenges and opportunities, especially in the context of integration into the European Union. Such meetings enrich our academic horizons and strengthen the friendship and collaboration between our institutions.

I look forward to future opportunities for joint projects and initiatives that will further enhance our connections. I believe that this cooperation will bring mutual benefits and contribute to the development of our students as future bearers of progress in our countries," said Vice Dean Backović.

During the visit, which took place as part of the Erasmus+ project activities, Dr. Milica Muhadinović delivered a lecture on "Economies on the Path to the EU – Opportunities and Challenges." This topic particularly interested the students, providing them with insights into the perspectives of a country undergoing the EU accession process. The lecture was held in the new Millennium Hall, where students had the chance to deepen their knowledge and actively participate in a discussion on current economic issues.

After the lecture, the gathering continued at the Student, Alumni, and Faculty Club, where Economics students met with the guests from Germany. The host of this meeting, Zerina Kardović, President of the Student Union of the Faculty of Economics, emphasized the importance of such events for exchanging experiences and creating new academic and professional connections.

HSBA (Hamburg School of Business Administration) is a university specializing in business studies. It was established in 2004 by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and is accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). This university stands out for its dual study programs, which combine academic education with practical work in companies.

Promoting the internationalization of higher education institutions in Montenegro through the development of capacity for study programs in English (ME-Study in English) is an Erasmus+ structural project coordinated by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro. The project aims to build capacity in higher education (Erasmus+ CBHE) and enhance the process of internationalization of higher education institutions in Montenegro, ultimately resulting in an increase in the number of study programs offered in English.
