Presentation titled Needs analysis was held at the Faculty of Economics as part of the ME-Study in English project to analyze the teaching process implemented in the first business and economics program in English at the Faculty of Economics (University of Montenegro) - MONTEB. The presentation, held by Dragana Čarapić, professor of English at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro, was attended by professors and associates of the Faculty of Economics engaged in this study program, as well as professors and associates from the University of Donja Gorica.
During the next four years, the ME-Study in English project will enable the complete integration of Montenegrin universities into the European area of higher education, which is why, to achieve this goal, it is necessary to improve the capacity of higher education institutions for teaching in English. That is why one of the activities carried out within the ME-Study in English project is the organization of an English language course for teachers and associates, which will begin in September 2024.
For the first time, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro coordinates the structural project for capacity building in higher education within the Erasmus+ program. The project is "Promoting the Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions in Montenegro through Capacity Building for Study Programs in English (ME-Study in English). The goal of the project is to improve the process of internationalization of higher education institutions in Montenegro, which will increase the number of study programs in English and, therefore, greater participation of visiting professors from EU universities in the teaching of these programs, as well as an increase in the number of enrolled international students.
The national partners in this project are the University of Donja Gorica, the Agency for Quality Control and Assurance of Higher Education in Montenegro, the Ministry of Education of Montenegro, and the Student Union of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro. The EU partners are the University of the Côte d'Azur in Nice and the Economic Faculty of the University of Zagreb.
